I have given some talks in the past when it didn't all work out. I look at it like this, take the feedback and then gain the perspective. I imagine being 80 and looking back at my life. I look at the occasion and then think about how I going to use this situation to better me.

It always helps me.

Cheers,

At last, an experience that can really give me some guidance or at least motivate me to face the challange. I'm in W2 area club in Malaysia. I'm Hisham a VPM of my club UEM Academy TM Club. Tomorrow will be my first atempt to be the TME for my club mtg. I'm trying to figure out what to prepare for it. I think the HATS mnemonic may give me a bit of direction to go about conducting the mtg and I hope to come up with something to bridge between each slot or session. The theme will be 'local fruits' which I've came up with it since I love fruits. Any advice on the main things to consider?

don’t think it was as chaotic,I can't get it,why people tend to see things in black while white is setting right under their noses.

Thanks for that, Mireia. I wrote the first part not long after the event, and I probably was a bit hard on myself - it was my first time.

It's great to hear you enjoyed it all - very rewarding. Oh - and thanks for leaving a comment! Feedback is a wonderful thing.

I attended the evening you are referring to and I don't think it was as chaotic as you make it sound: we always tend to see what went wrong and it is very frustrating when you have put so much effort into something and it does not go as smoothly as expected. I can confirm it was a brilliant, welcoming and most enjoyable session.

I can also congratulate Caroline on her role as TME at the next meeting - although I was not there: I was the scheduled TME who did not realize until 4 days prior that I was going to be away that week.
